"Everyone has the right to freedom of expression"
“Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression”, “Everyone has the right to freedom of thought” and “Everyone has the right to take part in the government of his country […]” are three articles of the Declaration of Human Rights. Today many authoritarian regimes try to take away these rights. They make use of mass surveillance and censorship to deny their victims the access to independent media and the internet, hoping to suppress the struggle for freedom and democracy.
As a citizen of a free and democratic country, I feel an obligation to help those people who unfortunately do not have the same freedom and rights.
“Freedom is the freedom to say that two plus two makes four. If that is granted, all else follows.”
― George Orwell
